About The Event

A Curriculum for my School

We are bringing together a number of the best speakers to discuss the important elements of curriculum.

  • Mary Myatt
  • Will Ryan
  • Dean Beadle
  • Adrian Bethune
  • Dom Traynor

Mary Myatt

Mary Myatt spends time in schools talking to pupils, teachers and leaders about learning, leadership and the curriculum. She maintains that there are no quick fixes and that great outcomes for pupils are not achieved through tick boxes. She is working with senior leaders on the link between educational values and high standards.

Will Ryan

Will spent most of his teaching, leadership and advisory career working in what he refers to as the ‘People’s Republic of Rotherham’ but has an enviable overview of what makes great schools and great classrooms tick. For him it is about starting the job with a clear focus on what our moral purpose is, something that transcends SAT results or inspection reports.

Dean Beadle

We should endeavour to work with autism, not against it. Together, we should persevere to develop the strategies and techniques that will make the world a more positive and manageable place for people on the spectrum. I am not saying that life will be a bed of roses; I know that there will always be issues and problems that will make my life a struggle, but I take courage in the knowledge that I will get through them by formulating strategies and coping mechanisms.

Adrian Bethune

Our founder, Adrian Bethune, is a primary school teacher who has been teaching happiness and wellbeing to primary school children and teachers since 2010.

We believe that happiness and wellbeing should be at the heart of education and we give schools the tools to put it there.

We exist to teach children and teachers the skills of happiness and how to flourish in and out of school. Happy teachers teach better and happy pupils learn better. It’s simple, really.

Dom Traynor

Combining traditional teaching with interactive, innovative and purposeful learning experiences engages young people in a way that the traditional classroom set up so often fails to deliver.  We aim to help education evolve so that it engages and inspires the next generation to fulfill their true potential.

This is a whole day event, including danish pastries upon arrival and a buffet lunch.
