DSPL 6 is holding its annual Inclusion Conference providing delegates with access to expert keynote speakers, the opportunity to share ideas and explore the SEN services on offer throughout Hertfordshire.
Dr Kathryn Weston is an academic, motivational speaker, wife and mother to two boys. Combining her passion for parenting with extensive academic expertise, she is committed to giving schools and parents the practical tools they need to bridge the gap between educational and family life. Kathryn will be sharing relevant research on topics such as parental engagement and aspirational parenting, in a straightforward and thought-provoking way.
Neil Mackay is a freelance consultant and trainer who created the concept of Dyslexia Friendly Schools. He is an experienced teacher who has taught for 26 years, working with children with a wide range of ages, needs and ability. He is known for his ability to bring the classroom into his training and for providing lively, entertaining and thought provoking opportunities for teachers and teaching assistants to reflect on and develop their practice. He is the author of ‘Total Teaching - Raising the achievement of vulnerable groups’.
An information marketplace of SEN services throughout Hertfordshire will also be available throughout the day. Lunch will also be provided at 12.30pm
