Primary PE: Gymnastics & Dance KS1
Time & Location
About The Event
During the course Selina will be looking at innovative ideas for delivery as well as sharing examples of good practice. This will include practical strategies that can be implemented immediately. Each full day will be varied, fun and engaging with strategies that cover cross curricular links for students of all abilities.
It will feature the key skills required for both gymnastics and dance, and examples using popular music resources to develop and extend the knowledge of teaching gymnastics and dance. Delegates will develop new sequences to engage both boys and girls in gymnastics and dance and also look at differentiation and progression. This course will also place an emphasis on the health and safety aspect of gymnastics and equipment handling as well as ways to organise equipment for maximum participation.
There will be the opportunity for evaluation and feedback within the lesson also.
These sessions are suitable for Teachers, TAs, Subject Leaders, cover supervisors and any teacher timetabled for PE who doesn't have specialist training or who needs refreshing on current thinking and developments within the subject.
